That’s not my style. I want to acknowledge everyone who helped me get to where I am today.
That’s why I am dedicating an entire page to my number one marketing superstar, Beatriz Alemar.
Here’s a picture of Beatriz:
Without her, this website would be nothing. I really mean that. She has always been a constant inspiration to me. Her can do attitude and passion for marketing is overwhelming (in a good way!)
Beatriz and I met through the social network Twitter.com a little over a year ago. We often spoke at great length about topics on business and marketing.
It was always so nice to send her news stories over email that were of interest to me, and get instant feedback from her. She taught me so much, introduced me to so many wonderful people and became one of my top business idols.
We met in person for the first time at a conference called SXSW, held every March in America.
It was shortly after we met at SXSW in March 2011, that I asked her to help me work on the launch for Community Ethics. Without a moment’s hesitation, she said yes.
I was thrilled. To get someone like Beatriz on board was a big deal to me. In the months that followed, we had monthly video Skype calls about how the site would work and run.
She was always so focused, supportive and patient with me.
As I mentioned at the beginning of this tribute to Beatriz, this website would be nothing without her.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I love marketing and business. But as Beatriz calls it, I would be stuck in a vacuum, not able to get feedback from anyone but myself.
That’s not the way great businesses are created. I love to hear from anyone who gives me suggestions or ideas. That’s just the way I do business.
So, it just remains for me to sincerely thank Beatriz Alemar for EVERYTHING. Without her, I wouldn’t be half the business owner I am today and my personal motivation wouldn’t be nearly as high.
